This is the last time we talk about Firefox versions in the news. The times when releases were meaningful are over and it seems that one version is no different from the other. (The same can be said about Chrome)
Another version is out before we got used to the old one. The feature list is getting slimmer for every release. Here's what's new: - Firefox 8 will come with a new add-on compatibility assistant, which is giving a better add-on control the first time users update to a new version of the browser.
- Better third-party add-on handler. With the new version, the browser will display a screen that asks the user to allow or disallow the installation of third party add-ons before they are executed for the first time. See below: |
