ReactOS 0.3.14 is out
For those who don't know - React OS is an effort to create a Free Software replacement for MS Windows that is compatible with existing hardware and software. That said, the operating system is still in early development stages and suites more for enthusiasts, rather than end-users. The current release includes a significant amount of changes including both GUI and architectural improvements.
Chrome Beta for Android released
The first Chrome Beta is out and only works on Android 4, so if you have an older version, you'll have to wait for an upgrade (or get a new device). The browser has all the standard mobile features (like pinching the screen to zoom) and some extras, such as syncing your personal data (bookmarks, history, etc) and incognito mode. One nice feature that stands out is "link zoom". The browser zooms in the links that are too tighly close together, when you tap on them:

Ubuntu is introducing something called the Head-Up Display, or HUD, which will ultimately replace menus in Unity applications. Here's what Mark Shuttleworth is hoping you'll see in 12.04 when you invoke the HUD from any standard Ubuntu app that supports the global menu:
